Strive and Rise Program 2023-24

The Government has launched the “Strive and Rise Programme” which aims to address intergenerational poverty by helping underprivileged students, who join the Programme as mentees, achieve their life goals and strive for upward mobility.

58 Broadway students participated as mentees in this school year. Mentees will each be paired up with a volunteer mentor who will share his/her life experience to help the mentees build up their self-confidence and guide them to develop their personal goals proactively and positively; the mentors will also assist their mentees in developing positive financial planning concepts and applying effectively the financial support provided under the Programme.

The PowerThru Education Program is an initiative from EmpowerU to create education opportunities and a learning community, leveraging their pedagogical expertise and connection to the University of Hong Kong, their team has partnered up with 10 excellent instructors to introduce five courses to students.

In this school year, they provide two courses in Broadway: “Drama Dojo” and “It’s Debatable”

The PTA Day Trip (2024) to Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (Lam Kam Road, Tai Po) was held on 28 April 2024, Sunday. 57 participants (including three teachers) took part in it. In a remarkable display of skill, teamwork, and determination, the Grade B Boy Football Team of Delia Memorial School (Broadway) achieved an outstanding accomplishment in the recent HKSSF competition. Despite fierce competition from other schools, our talented athletes showcased their abilities and secured the highly commendable 2nd Runner Up position. This remarkable achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport. The triumph of 3-0 on 13/3 not only brings glory as the 2^nd runner-up to the school but also serves as an inspiration for future athletes. We congratulate the team on their outstanding accomplishment and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.
