The 2023-2024 Alumni Association Annual Games Night Meeting was held on 1st December, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:40 p.m. at the school gymnasium. Close to 96 alumni and 54 teachers attended the Annual Night. Other members, Honorary and student members, had also attended the event. Following the inspiring speeches by the Principal Mr. Lo and the Chairperson Mr. Sohail Khan, the endorsement of the 2022-2023 Annual Meeting report and the Financial report was endorsed by all the members (except student members) in the audience.

4 December has been designated as the “Constitution Day” and that the nation will conduct promotion and education activities of the Constitution. In order to let our students understand the significance of the Constitution, we have our own school-based activities from end of November to first week of December. First, an in-classroom poster is designed to remind students. Second, it is followed by a powerpoint presentation by senior students to all classes for better understanding of what the Constitution is about, its significance, its relationship to the Basic Law, rights and freedom of people stipulated and role of citizens in upholding and participating in constitutional affairs. Finally, an online quiz with prizes is given to tap students’ understanding of the presentation.
This year we chose a 2-day trip of Route 6, Study Tour on Economic Development of Nansha & Qianhai, 16th-17th Nov 2023. This is our second mainland study tour (MST) since the implementation of the CS curriculum. We visited Qianhai and Nansha to learn more about the economic development and conservation of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Guangzhou in the Greater Bay Area (GBA). 100 students (and 11 teachers) excitedly looked forward to having a pleasant trip. All eight class teachers were enlisted and CS teachers surely joined this trip.
We are pleased to announce a remarkable accomplishment by one of our exceptional students, Gurpreet Singh from class 4B. Gurpreet demonstrated his exceptional talent in the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals “Good People, Good Deeds: English Writing Competition 2022-23.”
The Perler Bead Keychain Workshop was held 11:00 am -12:00 noon on Saturday, 14 October 2023. The workshop had been postponed owing to bad weather in September.
During the summer, 5 Chemistry students from S4-S6 were selected to attend universitylevel Chemistry Courses offered by the Science Academy for Young Talent at the Faculty of Science, Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The students gained valuable knowledge and experience that could prepare them for higher education. The courses provided a more in-depth understanding of the Chemistry concepts and enabled students to explore their academic interests further.
