From 26th to 28th March 2026, 40 S.4 students and 4 teachers participated in a 3-day mainland study tour to visit our sister school, Nansha Tianyuan School of Guangzhou No.2 High School, and explore Guangzhou’s key landmarks.
First Day: 26th March 2026
After crossing the border via the Heung Yuen Wai Control Point, our journey began with a hands-on STEAM workshop at My Robot Time (SZ) Co., Ltd, where students built and programmed robot cars. We then toured the Guangzhou No. 4 Resource Thermal Power Plant to learn about sustainable urban waste-to-energy processing. The day concluded with a spectacular performance at the Chimelong International Circus.

Second Day: 27th March 2026
The highlight of our trip was the sister school visit. Warmly welcomed by local students, our students actively joined English, P.E., and Music classes. The cultural exchange peaked when our students performed a cultural dance and sang “My Motherland”, exchanging souvenirs and forging meaningful friendships. In the afternoon, we explored Guangzhou’s blend of history and modernity by visiting the historic Shamian Island, experiencing Lingnan culture at Yongqing Fang, and admiring the contemporary skyline at Huacheng Square.

Third Day: 28th March 2026
On our final day, students admired the intricate carvings and traditional Guangdong architecture at the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, followed by a visit to the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street to experience the vibrant local economy. We concluded the trip by taking the High-Speed Rail back to Hong Kong. For many, this efficient, one-hour ride to West Kowloon Station was an exciting first-time experience, capping off a highly successful and memorable study tour.
