RiseUp Program by Kely Support Group

RiseUp aims to help ethnic minority young people from deprived districts in Hong Kong develop life skills and resilience along with creative photography skills. Participants attend weekly, interactive workshops that focus on a series of life skills including goal-setting, problem-solving and teamwork. They go on to learn technical and creative skills in photography.

Participants use the new knowledge and skills to express their own and other’s experience of life in Hong Kong through photography, including both obstacles and opportunities. The programme ends with an exhibition in a gallery or event space, showcasing the work of the students.
