S2: Appreciation and support
1. Gratitude KING & QUEEN / Mr & Ms. Gratitude
When students write thank you to cards to three different students, we can collect them first and award gratitude king/queen based on the number of times they were thanked. E.g., if student A got the most number of thank you cards, they win the title.
In the form morning assembly, we can present the award to the gratitude king & queen of each class.
2. Who’s thankful for that?
On a small piece of paper, each student writes down one thing they are grateful for in their life. NOT A THANK YOU TO SOMEONE SPECIFIC. They also have to write down their name on the paper and then fold it.
Teacher/helper collects all FOLDED papers in a box/bag.
Different students take turns to draw out a paper and read the STATEMENT. OTHER students raise their hand to guess who that statement/paper belongs to, who could be grateful for such a thing.
Students who can guess the name right may get a small gift.
3. PowerPoint presentation on “Strategies to be more grateful in your every day life”

Name of Students
‘Things may seem hard, confusing and stressful but in the future it will be easy, clear and successful.’
H stands for ‘Holding on’,
O stands for ‘Opportunity’,
P stands for ‘Positivity’ and
E stands for ‘Endurance’.
If we are able to hold on and endure all the obstacles and adversities in life, and continue to remain positive, there sure will be an opportunity for all of us with the help of ‘HOPE’.
Hope works like a lighted candle in darkness. It leads us to our goal.
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
When you’re at your limit, pass over it. There’s no problem you can’t solve and believe in yourself that you can do much more.
Failure is just the first step, success comes after it and giving up is not an option.
You lose the moment you give up on yourself.
Hope is a positive carrier in our lives that helps you achieve amazing feats.
Never lose hope, without hope it’s like searching for a silver of light in complete darkness.
Hope is our daily reminder to work hard in achieving our goal that we’re struggled for.
We struggle because we cling onto hope, that after the hardship we’ll get stronger.
‘Swim through the strongest waves, and you can find the shore.’
Hanna Joyce (6A/13)
Life is like a hurdle race, you can either smart and jump over the hurdles or be strong enough kick it down.
The worst things always happen to the best people, but that doesn’t mean that they do not deserve the good things – it just takes time to reach them.
So, Pessimism Exits.
Charlene Tam (6B/27)
It’s part of the human experience to lose hope. Don’t be afraid and know that there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.
As Long As You Got Hope, You Will Achieve Your Goal.
