On July 9, 2024, our school’s corridors were alive with a joyous celebration of diversity as students and teachers donned their finest cultural attire for the school’s first-ever Multicultural Day.
From the moment students arrived on campus, the energy was palpable. Vibrant traditional costumes, from the elegant and diverse costumes of China to the colorful embroidered garments of the Philippines, filled the corridors, each outfit a testament to the students’ pride in their heritage. The highlight of the day, however, was the captivating array of performances, the fashion show, and the cultural booths. Students from across form levels showcased their talents, presenting traditional dances and their runway walk that celebrated the beauty and diversity of their respective cultures. The audience, composed of students, teachers, and support staff, erupted in thunderous applause with a profound sense of unity and appreciation. The cultural booths featured games popular within the region and gave the students and teachers first-hand experience in playing those games with their friends!
This highly anticipated event, a cornerstone of the school’s commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding, was a resounding success, leaving all with a profound appreciation for the rich tapestry of cultures that make up the Broadway community.
