Chemistry Summer Course in CUHK

Innovative Chemistry STEM Programme – Science Academy for Young Talent

Over the summer, two of our S4 Chemistry students, Chan Yin Sum Hannah Adelle and Lo Ho Fung, were selected to participate in the prestigious Innovative Chemistry STEM Programme at CUHK!

This immersive experience taught students about the vital intersection of sustainable chemistry and artificial intelligence. Guided by a team of esteemed CUHK professors and their researchers, Hannah and Lo Ho Fung broke off into groups to tackle university-level topics in analytical chemistry and green materials.

Stepping into state-of-the-art laboratories, the students got hands-on experience synthesizing eco-friendly bioplastics, performing green chemical synthesis, and utilizing AI for spectroscopic analysis. It was an incredible opportunity that allowed them to master advanced laboratory equipment, sharpen their research skills, and get an exciting glimpse into future STEAM career paths
