As part of a Service Learning Project, the school’s Guidance team and English department have invited several S2 students to write biographies of their grandparents. Through this project, our students delved into the history and journeys of their grandparents, discovering how and why they established roots in Hong Kong. They unearthed fascinating historical details, some of which were previously unknown even to their parents. The students were both amazed and inspired by the hardships their grandparents endured, gaining valuable insights for their own lives. Without this project, they would not have had the opportunity to learn more about their grandparents. This experience has been immensely valuable, enabling them to learn and grow while fostering a greater sense of gratitude for their grandparents and own lives.
