The Student Support Team organized a two-day camp at Anchor House in Ma Wan, with accommodation at Noah’s Ark Hotel & Resort, for 30 students, on 27th– 28th September, 2024. The camp focused on teamwork, independence, and mental well-being through activities designed to challenge students physically and mentally.

The camp started with team-building exercises that required cooperation, communication, and problem-solving. Activities like stacking buckets, balancing ropes, and handling unpredictable balls pushed students to strategize and adjust as a team. These tasks encouraged critical thinking and reflection on their roles within the group.

The outdoor orienteering activity combined physical challenge with problem-solving, as teams navigated Noah’s Ark park using maps and clues. Students shared roles, building trust and leadership skills as they worked against the clock. This activity highlighted the importance of cooperation and adapting to each team member’s strengths.

One of the camp’s most challenging activities was the climbing course, where students worked in pairs to help each other scale vertical structures. The rest of the group managed safety ropes and provided support. This experience helped students build trust, improve communication, and face fears together, fostering a stronger team dynamic.

Reflection sessions throughout the camp allowed students to process their experiences and develop emotional resilience. These discussions reinforced how their actions affected the group and encouraged personal growth. Staying overnight at the hotel also promoted independence, as students managed their own routines in a new environment.

Overall, the camp successfully fostered teamwork, self-awareness, and social development. Through fun and challenging activities, students built stronger relationships, gained valuable skills, and experienced personal growth outside the classroom, supporting their mental and emotional well-being.
