Constitution of Delia Houses

1.      There are four Houses: Harmony (Red), Obligation (Blue), Morality (Green) and Equality (Purple), which together form the word “HOME”.

2.      The Houses are organized by the Board of House Committee.

3.      The Board of House Committee consists of House Teachers and House Student Committee Members.

4.      The House Teacher Supervisor is appointed by the School Authority to chair the Board of House Committee.

5.      There are 11 Student Committee members in each House: one captain, one vice captain, one treasurer, one secretary, one recreation facilitator and six Form-coordinators.

6.      All students and teachers are randomly allocated into four Houses.

7.      All House Student Committee members have to be elected by House members each school year.

8.      The House Annual Meeting is to be held in early September each school year.

9.      Each House member can only vote for 11 Student Committee members.

10.  The eleven highest voted students will be elected as House Student Committee Members.

11.  The posts of committee members have to be endorsed by the Board of House Committee.

12.  The Board of House Committee can lay off the student committee members under the following situation:

           (i) Severe violation of constitution;

          (ii) Failure to achieve the duty as required.

         (iii) Misconduct.

13.  Any replacement of Student Committee members should be arranged within one month by voting.

14.  The four class monitors may act as coordinators for their Houses in the class.

15.  The four captains are the highest student representatives of the school.

16.  All Houses should produce their own House flags, badges, lucky charms, slogans, and songs.

17.  All Houses are required to design their own homepages and bulletin boards.

18.  The house year membership fee of each student is $30.

19.  All membership fees are kept by the School Authority. House Supervisors need to check and approve the expenses. Supervisors need to submit the annual working and financial reports to the School Authority at the end of the school year.

20.  The groupings of competitions are according to students’ ages and Forms.
